Perscivo Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

Perscivo ("Perscivo," "we," "us," or "our") provides Decision Intelligence for Relationships — a service that helps you organize information, identify patterns, and evaluate evidence related to your own dating and relationship decisions. Our guiding principle is simple: see what you're missing before you decide.

Perscivo does not make decisions for you. We analyze information you choose to provide and present observations, identified patterns, areas of uncertainty, and recommendations. You remain solely responsible for every personal decision you make, whether or not it is informed by anything Perscivo shows you.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights available to you.

2. Our Privacy Principle

Perscivo collects only the information reasonably necessary to deliver its Decision Intelligence services. We intentionally avoid collecting, retaining, or processing data that does not materially improve the quality of your recommendations. This principle guides every decision we make about what information to collect and how long to keep it.

3. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

Account information. Your name, email address, password (stored in hashed form), and any other details you provide when creating and maintaining your Perscivo account.

Subscription and billing information. Your subscription plan, billing status, and transaction history. Payment card details are collected and processed directly by our payment processor — we do not store full payment card numbers ourselves.

Uploaded profile information. Details you enter or upload about the people you are evaluating within the app — for example, a match's stated age, location, occupation, or stated interests.

Uploaded photographs. Images you upload, including screenshots of dating profiles and photographs of the people you are evaluating.

Uploaded and entered conversations. Screenshots of conversations you upload, and any conversation content you manually type into the app.

Generated analyses and Decision Briefs. The observations, patterns, evidence summaries, scores, and recommendations Perscivo generates from the information you provide.

Message suggestions. Draft message content generated by Perscivo at your request.

Usage analytics. Information about how you use the app — for example, which features you open, how often you run an analysis, and general engagement patterns.

Device and browser information. Technical information such as your device type, operating system, browser type, and IP address.

Support communications. Any information you provide when you contact us for help, including the content of your messages to our support team.

Cookies and similar technologies. Small pieces of data stored in your browser or app to keep you signed in and remember your preferences. Perscivo uses only storage that is strictly necessary to operate the app — no advertising or third-party tracking technologies. See Section 11 for more detail.

4. Information About Other People

Perscivo's service is built around evaluating information about people you interact with — matches, conversation partners, and others you choose to upload or enter information about. These individuals are typically not Perscivo users and have not created an account or agreed to this Policy.

We collect this information only because you, the account holder, have chosen to provide it to receive analysis for your own use. We use it solely to generate your analyses, Decision Briefs, and recommendations — never to build a profile of that person independent of your account, and never to identify or contact them directly. If someone believes information about them has been uploaded to Perscivo and wishes to raise a concern, they may contact us using the information in Section 16.

5. How We Use Information

We use the information described above to:

• Provide and operate the Perscivo service, including your account and subscription
• Generate the analyses, Decision Briefs, and recommendations you request
• Improve the quality and usefulness of the service
• Process payments and manage your subscription
• Maintain the security of our systems and prevent fraud or abuse
• Provide customer support and respond to your requests
• Comply with legal obligations
• Understand how the app is used so we can improve it

6. How Perscivo Uses Artificial Intelligence

Perscivo analyzes only the information you choose to provide. It does not independently investigate, monitor, or obtain information about individuals from external sources unless you expressly provide that information or use a feature designed for that purpose.

Perscivo uses artificial intelligence to:

• Organize the information you provide
• Identify observable patterns in that information
• Summarize supporting and missing evidence
• Assist with communication, including generating suggested message drafts
• Generate recommendations based on the evidence available

AI-generated content is informational only, and Perscivo does not make automated decisions on your behalf. Our AI produces observations, patterns, and recommendations — you decide what to do with them. Perscivo does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or outcome of any AI-generated analysis, observation, or recommendation. Our AI works from the information you provide — it does not independently verify facts about any other person, and it cannot know anything you have not given it. You are solely responsible for evaluating and acting on any information Perscivo presents to you.

How Perscivo analyzes photographs. When you upload a photograph, Perscivo's AI evaluates it solely for your benefit, as the uploading user, to generate observations about that specific image (for example, photo quality or clarity). In doing so:

• Perscivo does not identify who is in a photo
• Perscivo does not compare people across different users' uploads
• Perscivo does not create or store a persistent biometric template of any face
• Perscivo does not perform facial recognition
• Perscivo does not attempt to verify anyone's identity

7. Image Storage Policy

Trial users. During your trial, you may upload up to 10 images, each up to 4 MB. Uploaded images remain available for 7 days from the date each image was uploaded. Before that 7-day period ends, we will remind you in advance so you have time to review your images. At the end of the 7-day period, you may choose up to 3 images to keep permanently at no cost. Images you do not choose to keep, and that you have not subscribed to retain, will be automatically deleted after that review period — you will always be notified in advance before this happens.

Subscribers. Once you have an active subscription, the 7-day retention limit no longer applies to you. Your images remain available for as long as your subscription is active, subject to an overall storage allowance that Perscivo may configure and communicate to you. If you cancel your subscription, you will receive a grace period before any reduction in stored images is required, during which no images are deleted and you may resubscribe without any loss of data.

8. Data Retention

We retain the categories of information described in Section 3 as follows:

• Account information: for as long as your account remains open, and for a limited period afterward as described below
• Uploaded photographs: per the Image Storage Policy in Section 7
• Uploaded conversations and profile information: for as long as the associated profile or conversation record remains in your account, or until you delete it
• Generated analyses and Decision Briefs: for as long as the underlying profile or conversation record they were generated from remains in your account
• Backups: retained on a rolling basis. This includes both our infrastructure provider's standard backup cycle and periodic encrypted backup copies we create and store separately for disaster-recovery purposes. Backup copies are accessible only to authorized personnel, are used only to restore or verify the integrity of the service, and are subject to the same confidentiality and security obligations as live data
• Deleted accounts: when you delete your account, your files are removed from storage and your account and all associated data (profiles, photographs, conversations, analyses, and settings) are deleted immediately. This action is irreversible. Residual copies may persist briefly in backups until they are purged on our normal backup rotation cycles, as described above.

We may retain limited information longer where required to comply with a legal obligation, resolve a dispute, or enforce our agreements.

9. Data Sharing

Perscivo does not sell your personal information.

We share information only in the following limited circumstances:

• Cloud hosting and infrastructure providers, who store and process data on our behalf under contractual confidentiality and security obligations
• Artificial-intelligence providers, who process the content you submit — including conversation text, profile information, and photographs — solely to generate your analysis, observations, recommendations, and suggested messages, and to screen uploaded images for prohibited content. Your content is sent to them only to produce your result, is not used to train their models, and is not shared with other users
• Payment processors, to process your subscription payments
• Authentication providers, to support account sign-in and security
• Email delivery providers, to send you account, security, and service emails
• Legal requirements, where we are required to disclose information to comply with a law, regulation, subpoena, or governmental request
• Business transfers, if Perscivo is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, in which case information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Policy or a successor policy

10. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect your information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Cookies and Similar Technologies

Perscivo uses only storage that is strictly necessary to operate the app. We store your sign-in session and your preferences on your own device, using your browser's local storage and equivalent app storage. We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking cookies, or third-party analytics or advertising trackers inside the app.

Usage analytics are first-party. The usage information described in Section 3 is recorded in our own database, linked to your account, and is not collected through third-party tracking technologies or shared with an outside analytics vendor.

You can clear this stored data through your browser or device settings, though doing so will sign you out and may reset your preferences.

12. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate information
• Delete your information or close your account
• Object to or restrict certain uses of your information
• Receive a copy of your information in a portable format
• Opt out of marketing communications at any time, using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email or by contacting us directly

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the information in Section 16.

13. Children's Privacy

Perscivo is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected information from someone under 18, we will take steps to delete it.

14. International Users

Perscivo is operated from the United States. If you access the service from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States or other countries, which may have different data protection laws than your own jurisdiction.

International transfers and our service providers

Where we transfer personal information out of the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we rely on legal safeguards approved for that purpose — the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (Implementing Decision 2021/914), the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, and, where a provider is certified, the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and its UK and Swiss extensions.

The service providers that process personal information on our behalf, and the safeguards each relies on, are:

• Amazon Web Services, Inc. (United States). Hosts our application database, file storage, and backups in the AWS US East (Northern Virginia) region. Your account details, dating profiles you create, conversations you upload, and images you submit are stored there. AWS is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and the UK Extension as part of Amazon.com, Inc.'s certification, and its data processing addendum additionally makes the Standard Contractual Clauses available.
• Cloudflare, Inc. (United States, with network infrastructure in the EU and worldwide). Provides content delivery, security filtering, and bot protection for our website and API. Requests from Europe are normally terminated at Cloudflare's European network locations. Cloudflare is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, and its customer data processing addendum applies the Standard Contractual Clauses to any transfer not covered by that certification.
• OpenAI (OpenAI Ireland Limited for users in the EEA and Switzerland; OpenAI OpCo, LLC, United States). Processes the profile text, conversation text, and images you submit for analysis, in order to return the assessments you request. OpenAI's data processing addendum relies on the Standard Contractual Clauses, together with the UK Addendum for United Kingdom data, as its transfer safeguard.
• RevenueCat, Inc. (United States). Manages subscription status, entitlements, and purchase records. It receives an account identifier and subscription metadata — not your profiles, conversations, or images. RevenueCat's data processing addendum relies on the Standard Contractual Clauses as its transfer safeguard.

We keep written data processing agreements in place with each of these providers, and we assess the safeguards that apply before adding a new provider that would process personal information outside your region. You can request further information about these transfers, including a copy of the relevant contractual safeguards, by contacting us at hello@perscivo.com.

15. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you — for example, by email or an in-app notice — before the changes take effect. The "Last updated" date at the top of this Policy reflects the most recent revision.
